Case study: Jolts reminders – Interflora
Client:

Jolts reminders is a desktop reminder service actively pulling in reminder data and custom animations to a Mii inspired user created avatar to remind you about an important event or occasion. Coded in Adobe Flash and deployed as a standalone AIR app, it would run seamlessly in the background passing in daily reminders and promotional content. As part of the web 2.0 brief the same code base was elegantly utilised for igoogle and facebook versions of the app providing a variety of outlets for various audiences, with minimum effort and under a tight deadline.

Case study: Doctor Who – The Last Dalek

IMAA nomination & highly commended, BIMA nomination.

The Last Dalek 1 received half a million hits in its first two months and was nominated for the BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) award. Was also nominated and won praise at the IMAA (Interactive Marketing & Advertising) awards with a highly commended award. Immensely deep for a web game with Zelda style design cues in terms of level structure. The BBC tracking reported user playtimes running into hours, and is still amongst the top most played BBC games.

The Line of Influence 3 is a strategic turn based card game. Resolve international disputes, by creating a line of influence to the top of the political hierarchy. Use political capital to purchase favourable advantages to help you on your way. It won best game in the category of games for the Insider Yorkshire Digital Awards.
Case study: Doctor Who – K9 Deja Who

In the same vein as the Last Dalek, K9 Deja Who 6 is an isometric action adventure, with detailed 3D graphics, a streamlined goal orientated design, greater replay, and bespoke events.

Case Study: Smile TV games

Client: Darrall Macqueen

I produced a series of games that appeared on Smile, the Saturday morning TV show for CiTV, and the website concurrently. Children would phone in and play the games live for prizes.

I built three games for Disney Channel UK, an isometric tiled Paperboy clone 7, a pinball simulator 8, matching pairs game 9, and also pitched a prototype for a side scrolling beat em up/platformer. See appendix for more details and screens.
